Dave Diamond, KFI

Dave Diamond was and remains my broadcast mentor.  Diamond was one of Bill Drake’s original ‘Boss Jocks’ during the 1950′s and 1960′s in Los Angeles.  Diamond lived and worked in California rock ‘n’ roll radio from the mid-1950s through the mid-1970s.  He covered and was on the first Beatles world tour, booked early shows by the Doors, and wrote songs with Janis Jopin and Strawberry Alarmclock.  This page contains some of Diamond’s most famous airchecks, radio shows, and pictures – and there’s even more content over on Diamond’s official website: The Diamond Mine.
